Worried I will change my mind about the name...

We have only one boys name that we can agree on but tbh I'm not 100% convinced its the name. Its a lovely name but I feel its just not unique enough. I have a niggling feeling that there may be a better name out there that we haven't found (and agreed on) yet....
I'm worried that when he gets here we'll look at him and decide it doesn't suit him (leaving us with no alternative) or worse still we go with it and I regret it later on. DH is 100% convinced but I think that may be partly cos hes done searching for names.
Am I over thinking this? Its such a big decision though....

It really doesn't matter if you do. All throughy last pregnancy you little boy was going to be John or Joeseph. A week before we heard another name and completely changed our minds. It is a huge decision I agree but don't set your mind in stone until he's here it'll take the pressure off a bit

You have until 6 weeks after the birth to register his name so take your time, as it is an important decision.

Keep looking at names, the ons produce a list of ALL boys names used last year - there is bound to be one you both love!

I agree don't panic or rush, as you have six weeks after the birth. My ds1 was Baby NoName for five days, and ds2 Baby NoName for two weeks! (Due to me being ill).

Just write down a short list and keep an open mind until your son is here. Good luck with the birth! Smile

I heard you can change the baby's name free of charge for up to a year after too (although that might be a myth!) so I wouldn't worry too much Wink
