Urgent help- registering tomorrow

Dd is 11 days old now and due to be registered tomorrow! We agree on her first name "Lucy" which we both love and have agreed that she will have my surname as we are not married/living together and in fairness the first 6 months of the pregnancy were stressful and we spilt up as he didn't want baby!

Now I want Ellen as middle name (my nans name) and he wants May (his mums name and he will not budge or compromise that we have both! He says because I'm getting the surname he should choose middle and refuses point blank to have Ellen included at all!

He now is refusing to even discuss and telling me to do what I want as it's all about me!

I'm wondering if I should just not have either and come up with another middle name

Any suggestions ?

Honestly, from an outside perspective, doesn't seem like he's worth bothering with imo, sorry.

Lucy Ellen is absolutely lovely. May is nice, and it's nice that it's after his mum, but it has become a filler name, like Louise of the 90s.

Lucy Ellen May is nice if you still want to compromise, but really by the sounds of it, the way he's acting really doesn't give him much of a say. If you use May, make sure it's for the sake of his pleasant mother (if that she be) and not for him, like pp said.

You can change it within 12 months though in some circumstances whatever you decided to do.
