sorry I'm not really that delicate just made me grumpy for a minute. I did of course know the connections (my aunty told me just in case I dodnt ;) ) Not really bothered love my Tabs and she wouldnt be anything other name. I think sometimes though when people are talking about baby names they forget peoples children have the name already.

Gemerama82 · 18/09/2014 17:46

Very true. I hadn't seen your comment up the page that it was your dd's name, I might not have said that if I had.

That said, I'm good at offending people over name choices. When my friend was pregnant and we were discussing names I said my DH liked the name Daisy, but it reminded me of a dairy cow. When baby was born she announced the baby was called Daisy. Ooops. I have to say I now really like the name as it just makes me think of my friends gorgeous smiley little girl.

Tabitha because I would have loved to have had it for one of my DDs. Also Theodora.

LetticeKnollys · 18/09/2014 18:03

I prefer Georgie but I think people are being overly harsh on Tabitha!

My cousin in law has a DD called Tabitha and although it sounds unusual at first, it seems to just work when it's actually used in her. OH's stepdad keeps passing judgy comments about it behind her back though, which boils my piss.

I know a little Tabitha who's known as Tiggy. Cute. Not sure how well it'll wear on a forty-something though.

Georgie!

DinoSnores · 18/09/2014 19:49

I love Tabitha but it just doesn't go with our surname.

Georgie is nice but I would only use it as a nickname.

DinoSnores · 18/09/2014 19:50

nwthree, Tiggy Legge-Bourke hasn't done so badly!

Wishfulmakeupping · 18/09/2014 19:54

Georgie with Georgia on the birth certificate. I'm biased as I have one- I adore the nn Georgie its fab

nwthree · 19/09/2014 09:32

DinoSnores - good point! Consider myself corrected.

DecaffTastesWeird · 19/09/2014 16:33

Tabitha.

Alisvolatpropiis · 20/09/2014 12:56

Tabitha, by miles.

Don't like Georgie as a given name.

HumblePieMonster · 20/09/2014 12:58

Tabitha is the name of one of my rabbits.

Georgie sounds a bit silly. Georgia is ok but don't spell it Jorgia.

TaytoCrisp · 21/09/2014 06:27

Tabitha seems a little posh to me but it's very sweet. I like it!
