We are due DC2 (boy) in December, and are seriously seriously struggling for names. We already have a DD called Tia.

I just cannot pick a name that I like enough to say a million times a day. We want something that isn't too common - I don't want to shout a name and have half of the playground turn around for example. But we don't want it to be too out there either.

I'm really not into the names that seem to be trendy lately like Arlo/Otto/Jude etc.

Please help, before he ends up lumped with his dads name Grin

I've gone for ones that aren't popular here, they could be where you are!

Leo

Tia is beautiful. It sounds very white, bright and winter-scape to me.

Arlo/Otto/Jude sound heavier and don't 'go'.

How about Archie, Laurie, Milo, Jonty? Something with a sharper sound?

I know a Tia and Lewis?

I think names that go well could be:

Jake
Max
Saxon
Axel
Ryder
Rafferty
Zack
Ethan

I actually think Jude goes nicely with Tia!

Thanks for the suggestions everyone Smile it's bloody hard this naming business!

We've been throwing Leo about today, it's not common around here at all, and we tend to like name that can't be shortened. But I'm still not 100% sold on it.

DH has come up with Brody, his first suggestion(!) but I'm not sure if it's a bit too 'American'?

Perfectly acceptable to just call him DC2 isn't it? Grin
