Lara, Lyra or Lana?

Which one do you prefer and why? Also, can you see any obvious nicknames/shortening people might use?

I like Lara. Lyra is too much like lycra and with Lana everyone will presume your daughter is named after Lana del Rey.

All lovely, but I would go for Lara. Lyra is too much like Lycra and Lana spells anal backwards.

I like Lyra, it reminds me of Northern Lights.

Lyra because it is an interesting character, a constellation and a musical instrument. Lara makes me think of Tomb Raider. Is Lana a real name?

Don't like Lyra. I think Lana is my favourite, might get nn Lani.

I love Lyra or how about Lila or Lyla?

Lyra. The heroine of Philip Pullman's Northern Lights books, which are awesome!

Lara. Because with all the l...a names this is the easiest, least confused one to say.

Lyra is not as established and might be confused with Lila, layla.

Lyra! I loved Northern Lights and 2nd Lana. Lara is cute too, think a lot of Spanish girls are named Lara.

Im going to go with the least favourite here and choose Lana! Purely because I love the name Alana but its one of those names I wouldnt personally use, I went to school with one and always thought it had a nice ring to it
