It was thrown in as a curve ball from oh the other day - something I would never have thought of! What are your thoughts?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I have a Hazel. I love it but then I'm biased. I love that it's traditional but not very common. Plus she's a wee nutter. (Yes you will get some nut jokes).

ToffeeMoon · 13/08/2014 11:17

I think it's very sweet.

chillychicken · 13/08/2014 11:27

I love Hazel. I really want to use it but it's my Aunt's name. Same as I love Harriet, but it's my cousins name.

MrsPatMustard · 13/08/2014 16:21

Gorgeous. Would have loved this for a girl...

MumBoots · 13/08/2014 19:15

Love it. Pretty, gentle yet strong somehow, not cutesy. Great name.

bouquetofpencils · 14/08/2014 22:33

Love it.

I know a 40yr old one, she is very cool.

Toohotforfishandchips · 14/08/2014 22:50

Not heard it for a while but really like it. I knew one in my teens - she was cool

chloe0408 · 16/08/2014 09:22

I have a hazel. I love it! It's classic, timeless, hazey is cute when young then hazel is a strong name when older :-)

HibiscusIsland · 16/08/2014 10:41

I really like it

curiousgeorgie · 16/08/2014 10:43

I don't dislike it but I find it a bit... Nothing.

I think the 'meh' someone said up thread describes it best.

ElephantsNeverForgive · 16/08/2014 10:47

I like it, she was the big sister of a friend growing up and a lovely deaf girl I met volunteering long ago.

Muskey · 16/08/2014 10:48

I think it's really pretty especially if it matches the child ifyswim for eg when the child has auburn hair and green/brown eyes. This sounded much better in my head

PuffPants · 16/08/2014 14:23

I know a baby Hazel, v.sweet.

Annietheacrobat · 16/08/2014 14:28

My English teacher's daughter was called Hazel. Her surname was Woodland. No joke.
