15 day old Phoebe without a middle name

Hiya,
My baby girl is now 15 days old and we've named her Phoebe. However we can not get a middle name that both of us love.

DP wanted Emilia which I originally agreed to then woke up the following day all hormonal and In tears about it. It's a lovely name but for some reason just doesn't seem to be my phoebes name.

I quite like Isabella but am not 100% if it's the very best out there?

I like really girly flower vintage and sometimes granny names. I love things like Daisy and Betty but they don't really work with Phoebe, and DP has vetoed both Hmm

Apart from Emilia he likes Megan and that's all- Megan is def not an option although again I think it's a lovely name.

My brains not working right now so I'm leaving it up to you ladies.

Please name my baby Grin

I think one syllable, starting with a consonant, works well eg

Dawn
May
Maeve
Maud
Grace
Rose

But then also Violet for some reason!

Liara · 11/08/2014 19:52

Does she need a middle name? Why?

Moondog123 · 11/08/2014 19:52

Phoebe Marie is pretty, depends on your surname though

lisaloulou84 · 11/08/2014 19:53

What's your last name?

Phoebe Beaux
Phoebe Rose

Phoebe Mae
Phoebe Rae
Phoebe Esme/Esmae

Love Phoebe by the way, feel like it need to be something short so it rolls off the tounge?

I've a Phoebe Nicola. Very personal reasons but they sound good together I think.

Congrats and on choosing an awesome name.

Congratulations! And don't stress about the middle name. They are hardly ever used in day to day life. Most people don't know about them/forget them. Can you find something with a personal meaning, either to you and your DP, or to your wider families? Or something that gives - as it were - an admirable quality to your newborn? Something like Hope or Joy, for example? Or something to express your feelings, such as Miranda, which means 'to be marvelled at'?

Anotherdayanotherdollar · 11/08/2014 19:58

Phoebe violet, but it's not a necessity is it??

UriGeller · 11/08/2014 19:58

Phoebe Summer?
Phoebe Jean?
Phoebe Isabella is beautiful by the way. I'd go with that.

Heathcliff27 · 11/08/2014 20:01

Congratulations, some great suggestions here but I agree don't stress too much about middle names. None of my 3 have a middle name, took us enough time to pick their first names Grin

Seriouslyffs · 11/08/2014 20:01

What are your names and mothers'/ grandmothers' names?

I would pick a family name. Granmothers, Great Grandmothers?

Failing that, something personal - Summer? A flower that was in bloom when she was born?

I think of first names as their own name, and middle names as a way of providing a background or root.

Blondieminx · 11/08/2014 20:25

Phoebe Alice?

turdfairynomore · 11/08/2014 20:27

I know a phoebe Elise. But people sometimes misread it as Elsie -which doesn't "flow" as well.
