I prefer Estela out of the too but prefer Estelle to that

Hedgehog1977 · 10/08/2014 06:34

We are having a Sylvie if this one is a girl, so I vote for that! Prefer Estelle too.

Sylvie Smile

Sylvie!

Estella is prettier than Estelle, but isn't it normally spelled with two 'l's?

I really like it, and Sylvie is very pretty too. The only thing with that though, is that as a French name apparently in France itself it is out of fashion and thought of as dated. But I guess if you won't be living in France, it doesn't matter!

I think I prefer estelle to estella as I would hate mn Stella although this may happen anyway I suppose

Sundaedelight · 10/08/2014 09:59

I love both but I think Estela would pip it for me as I also love the name Stella.

I was watching a movie recently with Sylvia Syms and thought what a beautiful and underused name it is, so Sylvie for me too.

londonkiwi · 10/08/2014 12:08

Sylvie!

TheWhispersOfTheGods · 10/08/2014 12:27

Sylvie/Sylvia. Pretty and works on children and adults.

Don't like Estela at all- is it another language version of Estella or is is spelled wrong? I don't like Estella either.

ChanelNo19LoveIt · 10/08/2014 12:29

Can you make that Estelle or Stella

Estela looks wrong and confusing.

Sylvie was on my list for my dd but I'm glad I didn't choose it now. It's pretty but now I'd prefer the 'strength' of Estelle

BigfootFiles · 10/08/2014 12:38

Estella with two 'l's or Sylvie are both nice. I associate Estella with the character in Great Expectations, so depends how you feel about that.

Montsti · 10/08/2014 13:26

Sylvie. Really not keen on Estelle, Estela, Stella...

Inbl00m · 10/08/2014 14:27

Thanks all! Estela with one L is the Spanish version. Family are Spanish and French so we're currently wrestling with names from both sides. I think I'm coming down on the side of France too! Grin

Sylvie is very pretty.

maggiethemagpie · 10/08/2014 16:25

I like Estella/Estela. Looks wrong with only one l to me though! Sylvie I'm not mad about.

ralinax294 · 10/08/2014 16:27

Love Estela, don't really like Sylvie.

Sophronia · 10/08/2014 16:51

Sylvie.

AdorableAbbie · 10/08/2014 18:39

Estela means star while Sylvie means from the forest. So I go for Estela if it's my child's name as I want her to be a shinning star :)

BlueStarsAtNight · 10/08/2014 19:18

Sylvie.
