This is a little premature but if people think it's odd then I would like to rule it out ttc #2 and would like a name for new baby with the same meaning as DS's name I have a favourite that was going to be DS's name if he was a girl however it's just suddenly hit me it's almost the same as my nieces name who we see almost daily. I don't want to give names incase it out's me but it's 1 letter difference like Tara and Lara or Daisy and Maisy. Is that to strange and confusing? I think so but then I think there are children called after family members and there is something I like about naming a baby after my precious niece as we are very close. Likely I will have a boy but if I do have a girl I really love the name if it's to strange I'd rather rule it out before it was an issue I don't know why I didn't think of this with DS we know his sex at 16 weeks and was sure I was having a boy so I didn't think about girls to much.

I realise I sound rather crazy but I believe a childs name is very important I have a IMO beautiful strong and unusual name which I have always loved and been proud of and I want my children to feel the same.

Myself I think it's fine, but my Ds gas the same name as his cousin, they were both called after their grandfather. I don't mind though it can be confusing.

But your cousins might mind. Some people do. And imv it's not worth upsetting what is obv a good relationship . So it would be worth checking their views.

I think it'd be fine; it might only seem weird initially. 2, 2, 5 year down the line, no one would bat an eyelid.

I would do it of you see the other child regularly. Plus you seem to have talked yourself out of it. Puck something else - there are plenty!

MrsMilton · 16/08/2014 15:43

Excuse horrible typos! I meant I would not! And pick not puck another one.

Why don't you tell us the names? It can't out you - you're not even pregnant yet so how would anyone know it was you in RL?!
