I'm due at the end of December and would like some opinions on names.

For girls

Harriet
Lydia
Morven

Middle name will be Georgina.

Boys

Reuben
Logan
Harris
Nairn
Seth

Middle name will be Matthew.

Which middle names match best?

Like all your names apart from Lydia and Logan.

Think Matthew goes well with them all too!

burgatroyd · 26/07/2014 05:45

Faces are Lydia and Logan

JazzAnnNonMouse · 26/07/2014 06:07

I also like all apart from Lydia and Logan

CheerfulYank · 26/07/2014 06:20

I like Lydia best for girls, then Harriet.

For boys Harris, then Seth.

Pebbles0934 · 26/07/2014 07:08

Not keen on Morven or Nairn. Nairn reminds me of the biscuit bars. Sorry!

Other names are really nice! I like Seth.

JadeJ123 · 26/07/2014 07:11

Love the name Lydia and Logan!

GermyElephant · 26/07/2014 07:14

Are you in Scotland? Logan and Harris both quite popular round here just in case that's something that bothers you.

Only1scoop · 26/07/2014 07:15

Only like Harriet and Seth.

Yama · 26/07/2014 07:17

Are you Scottish Sue?

I love Morven.
I like Harriet.
Not sure about Lydia. Prefer Lois or Lucy.

Logan is very popular in my part of Scotland (West Coast).
Think I like Matthew out of all of your names. I realise there is probably a good reason why this is a middle name rather than first name.

Other suggestions - Andrew, Alexander, Brodie, Michael.

Kantha · 26/07/2014 07:18

Harriet. I like Lydia too but it doesn't work so well with Georgina

Harris

Shockers · 26/07/2014 07:18

I like Harriet and Seth too.

BellMcEnd · 26/07/2014 07:33

Reuben and Morven. These are fabulous names!

AtiaoftheJulii · 26/07/2014 07:36

Seth Matthew has too many th's! And I don't think Nairn Matthew flows so well. Apart from that, I think the 3 girls' names and the first 3 boys' ones all sound fine.

Hamnvik · 26/07/2014 07:40

Like Morven and Georgina is on my girls names list. I also have a DS called Reuben so that gets my vote :-)

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 26/07/2014 07:44

Harriet is the only one that goes well with Georgina and is the nicest too.

Out of the boys list I really like Seth but it doesn't go with Matthew, I really don't like Nairn, the other three are OK.

SueESidle · 26/07/2014 11:29

Yes I'm on the west coast of Scotland. So Harris and Logan are out due to popularity.

Oh I like Andrew Yama. I'll put that on the shortlist. Love Alexander but it's my DN name.

Harriet is my favourite girls name but DO put me off it. He thinks that our DD name along with Harriet sounds like Victorian pantry maids.

weegiemum · 26/07/2014 11:39

I'm in the West of Scotland too - I love Morven. One of my dds has Morna as her middle name (means beloved).

I'm not so keen on your boys names tbh - and yy to Harris and Logan being v. popular here (as are Calum and Lewis!).

Dazedconfused · 26/07/2014 19:20

love morven we don't even have a shortlist it is the only name on it

ButterflyOfFreedom · 26/07/2014 19:37

I like Lydia and Harris best. Reuben is nice too.

fledermaus · 26/07/2014 19:42

I like Lydia, Harriet and Reuben.

SueESidle · 26/07/2014 19:45

I think I'm even more confused now. Just as well I have ages left.

Harriet Georgina and Logan Matthew are my favourites :)

RedToothBrush · 26/07/2014 19:54

Logan is a great number.

However Dacia (car brand) have recently brought out a Logan model, and its increasingly becoming popular.

Would put me off massively.
