... i have a 3 year old daughter called Emma.. and i am due to give birth, all being well, to a son in September... but what would go well with Emma?

we have a silly surname, bit of a gobfull, no one's ever heard of it or can spell it... begins with an R. so need to avoid names beginning with R...

Max or Oliver, usually. Mind you, ending in R is probably as bad as beginning with R.

Adam, Owen, Matthew?
