Heidi, Saskia or Gabriella?

Could you give me your opinions please? DH is European, so we're looking for something that is fairly international. Our surname has two syllables.

Thank you! Baby is due on Monday and we're nowhere near making a decision!

I love Saskia - not the others names though.

todayiamfat · 23/07/2014 22:12

I like all 3. But Gabriella was on our list. But we decided our dd wasn't one when she was born!

HillyHolbrook · 24/07/2014 00:47

Heidi or Saskia.

Gingerjv · 24/07/2014 19:29

I like only Gabriella! very beautiful name

Rosebud29 · 24/07/2014 21:34

I vote Heidi. That's our name choice if we have a girl.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 25/07/2014 10:31

I like Gabriella, but love Saskia!

It has been one of my favourite names since I was a teenager & first heard it. DH vetoed it though unfortunately Sad.

It's so pretty & not common (as in popular), yet not unheard of - so people know how to pronounce/spell it!

WhereHas1999DissappearedToo · 25/07/2014 10:45

Saskia all the way!

Superrhan · 25/07/2014 11:07

I disagree about Heidi not being over used. I know 4 under 5s called Heidi, and I probably only know about 15 under 5s in total!

Saskia is my fave though. Very European and very cute.

RiverTam · 25/07/2014 11:10

Heidi

not keen on the other two, especially Gabriella.

Beautifullymixed · 25/07/2014 12:39

Agree with Heidi being popular too and think it's on the increase.

Just love Saskia. Love that a nickname can be Sassy. Adorable.

Fizzyfuzzy123 · 25/07/2014 13:03

Heidi is lovely! I think of the book Heidi not of porn stars if that helps!

Norfolknway · 25/07/2014 15:03

Heidi. It's the best name...ever

PoppyAmex · 25/07/2014 15:07

Heidi is lovely. She lives with her grandfather in the Alps, has a pet baby goat and a friend called Clara in a wheelchair.

All three names are nice, OP. You don't say where your DH is from, but southern europeans would struggle with Saskia.

aoife24 · 25/07/2014 21:18

Oh, Gabriella by a mile.

NCFTTB · 25/07/2014 21:19

Gabriella

Muskey · 25/07/2014 21:22

I like them all my cousins child is called Gabrielle so I would probably veer towards that

RainyAfternoon · 26/07/2014 07:43

Thank you everyone - seems a fairly even split... Think I might have to wait and see what she looks like.

Induction booked for Monday :-)

Good luck OP

Please come back and let us know your choice.

Team Saskia. Grin

newyearnewshoes · 26/07/2014 18:41

Gabriella!

ralinax294 · 26/07/2014 19:49

Saskia is definitely my favourite of these, I absolutely love it! Heidi is lovely too, but I'm not keen on Gabriella.

storeonashelf · 27/07/2014 00:55

Saskia

zingally · 27/07/2014 12:31

Not keen on Saskia, a bit chavvy/over-used at the moment. The other 2 are both pretty.

storeonashelf · 27/07/2014 13:13

I didn't know Saskia was over used

Beautifullymixed · 27/07/2014 13:28

Saskia chavvy and overused?!

Whereabouts are you zing?

I would never class this name as chavvy at all.
really hate the word chavvy

sparklingharbour · 28/07/2014 15:08

Gabriella. Although dislike potential nns of Gabs and Gabby.
