If I ask you which name to prefer, Susannah, Suzanne, or Suzette?

I kind of don't like Suzette, bit try hard for me. One of the others is my middle name. I like Susie, too.

TheFirmament · 20/07/2014 18:56

And I didn't say all middle-aged ladies were frumpy! Just imaginary Sue.

BikeRunSki · 20/07/2014 18:59

Havn't you just had a baby Cheerful?

thegreengreengrass · 20/07/2014 19:06

Definitely Susanna(h).

nooka · 20/07/2014 19:06

Susannah by a long way, then Suzanne, with Suzette a long way behind.

I really like Susannah, it has a cool and feisty sort of vibe to me.

For a middle name though I'd be more inclined to decide based on how well it worked with the first name (I'd not choose Susannah if the first name ended with the same 'a' sound - eg Anna, Sarah etc)

florascotia · 20/07/2014 19:14

Susannah here, too.

ashesandfire · 20/07/2014 19:15

Susannah

BellMcEnd · 20/07/2014 19:16

Susannah

HolgerDanske · 20/07/2014 19:19

It would have to be susannah for me. Suzanne doesn't look right and all I can think of with suzette is crepes suzette.

MissMysticFalls · 20/07/2014 19:22

It depends on the other names, but I think middle names are great opportunities to get your "eccentric name" kicks - they really don't matter all that much after the first month or so in my experience. So I'd go for suzette.

Alisvolatpropiis · 20/07/2014 19:23

Susannah

Delphiniumsblue · 20/07/2014 19:24

Susannah.
( don't go for the pudding one!)

bauhausfan · 20/07/2014 19:26

None - I know/knew two Suzannes and they were a pair of bitches.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 20/07/2014 19:26

Susannah, then Suzanne (a bit dated) then Suzette (just no, it's a pudding not a name).

scottishmummy · 20/07/2014 19:27

CheerfulYank · 20/07/2014 19:27

My teenage dd is Susanna - she loves it. Some of her friends call her Suzi but mostly she is known by her whole name. There is a Susanna in Mozart's Marriage of Figaro and Shakespeare's daughter was Susannah. It means lily. What is not to like?

angeltreats · 20/07/2014 20:12

I love Suzanne, it's the name of one of my best friends and also my cousin's little girl who is absolutely gorgeous.

Susannah is also very nice and I've known several very glamorous grown up Susannahs.

Don't like Suzette, sorry.

Sophronia · 20/07/2014 20:13

Susannah but I prefer it spelled Susanna.

ralinax294 · 20/07/2014 20:47

Love Susannah, dislike both Suzanne and Suzette

Susannah, I know two and they are both utterly wonderful people.

capercaillie · 21/07/2014 13:11

Susannah. Lovely name. If I were to ever have to name another girl, then this would be one of her names.

Gingerjv · 21/07/2014 13:47

Susannah

CheerfulYank · 21/07/2014 19:12

Crepes Suzette doesn't bother me much because it was a name first :)
