is it really bad to have a middle name begin with the same letter the first name ends in?

I love the names Rosanna and Alice but think I'm leaning more towards Rosanna as the first name. Would it be so bad to have Alice as the middle name? I figure they won't be said together that often and it isn't that much of a mouthful...what do you think?

It's fine.

It's fine but I think Alice Rosanna flows a bit better, but you have to pick your favorite to go first regardless.

Sophronia · 14/07/2014 23:20

The flow isn't perfect but I think it's fine. Like you said, they won't be said together that often.

LaFlambeau · 15/07/2014 00:04

I agree the flow isn't perfect, but it's not bad at all.

Roseanna Alice works way better than, for the sake of argument, Rosa Alice, because of where the emphasis lies/the rhythm.

It's fine. Lovely names though Alice is my personal favourite.

I adore both names. I think Alice Rosanna flows much better than Rosanna Alice, but it's OK.

My son's name is like that. He has two middle names, but we couldn't swap them over as they have one starting and one finishing with the same two letters and that sounded even worse! His is a very similar rhythm to Rosanna Alice, and although it's not the best flowing name in the world, it's fine, and nearly all the time it's being said out loud it's just first name, last name.

I was going to have a Flora Alice but changed my mind at the last minute. I don't think it matters if you love the names.
