DH and I think we've decided on a first name for DD2: Clara.

We can't however, agree on a middle name.

Do you all have any thoughts on the above or any further suggestions?

Surname is one syllable, starts with a vowel and ends with an S.

Thank you.

Clara - Khlah-rer- is very nice.

THis is just a personal preference, but I think it's good when middle names have some special personal meaning for the parents; either to honour older family members or linked to some fantastic place or event or whatever in their recent shared past.

I like Clara Cordelia as I like the alliteration, plus you could give her the nn Cece!

Other suggestions....

Clara Clementine
Clara Juniper
Clara Beatrix

I think I like it with a third name too, as it sort of finishes it off! SmileSmile

Some nice suggestions, thank you.

I'm adding Clara Clementine to the list - think I must like alliteration too.

florascotia with DD1, there were no family names that we agreed on that would not upset someone so we just picked a name that we both really liked. Think it would be unfair to do something different with DD2.
calzone I think we need to stick to two names as DD1 only has two, but thank you for the ideas. Hopefully the surname will finish it off nicely Grin

I think Clara Madeleine sounds lovely. I'm not a big fan of alliteration or of names that end in a vowel then start in a vowel; I think it makes it awkward to say.

I like Clara Cordelia.
