I am pregnant with my first, we don't know sex yet but have a boy's name that we're agreed on. What do you think of Beatrix for a girl?

I'm convinced. Agree with pp about Trixie though, not a fan. That'd be my only concern. I can't beleive it's unanimous!

This is on my potential name list as well with a nn of Bea. But can't decide between Beatrix and Beatrice. DS is Alex so I don't know if it would be weird or cool to have two children with the /ix/ sound in their names.

Love it! Trying to decide between Beatrix or Constance for girls name option for our baby due in September.

I prefer Beatrice. Seems softer than an X.

Love Bea as a nickname for both though.

Great name, and a bit different from Beatrice which has exploded in popularity.
