I keep thinking we have decided then completely go off them.
Ds1 is F inlay
DD1 is Caitlin
Mn will be John but only if it goes with name we pick
Currently liking Lewis, Noah or Reuben.
Is Noah too popular/faddy?
Will people spell Reuben correctly?
Is Lewis boring?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

All the names are nice and work well with John.

Your names seem to have a Scottish flavour so,other similar names include:

Other suggestions:

Robert
Douglas
Rory
Hamish

Noah - although I think of it as being a bit faddy I don't know any (other than a 30-something one), so it can't be that popular (or not where I live anyway).

Lewis - one of my all time faves from my childhood (before it was popular). I like Louis better now.

Reuben - you could always go for Ruben (I know one so now the other spelling looks odd to me), I wouldn't be put off by the spelling though as it is a normal name. My favourite of your list.

How about:

  • Fraser
  • Aaron (air-ron not arron)
  • Patrick

Rivercam yes they probably are, I've just started a different thread on Scottish names.

Meant to add I like Rory, but prefer Ruaridh. Living in England we couldn't use it though.

I know an English Rory spelt that way.

ButterflyOfFreedom · 24/06/2014 07:30

Like all your names!

Lewis is my favourite.

Rhubarbgarden · 24/06/2014 11:55

Noah and Reuben will date. Personally I find them both too overtly religious, but that might be what you're after.

Lewis is nice.

LJBanana · 24/06/2014 12:03

I have one with the same name as your ds1 and one called Louis. I have another one too.

I like Reuben too.
We have the same name taste!

Just wait until he's here and see what fits.

BlueChampagne · 24/06/2014 14:16

I like Lewis. How about Alasdair?

halfdoneharris · 24/06/2014 14:43

Lewis would be my choice of the three, with Noah coming in 2nd. I think Lewis, Caitlin and Finlay sound like a lovely set of siblings.

MarianneBrandon · 24/06/2014 15:03

I like Lewis and I think it goes nicely with Finlay and Caitlin

lifehasafunnywayofhelpinguout · 24/06/2014 18:30

Noah is lovely. Becoming quite popular now as well
Lewis is nice.
Sorry but I can't stand the name Ruben. Just different opinions. X
Good luck with your impending arrival

Topsyloulou · 24/06/2014 19:15

Reuben is definitely my favourite of the three & one of the names in our top 3 too. We haven't even thought about the spelling being an issue. We also have Rufus on the list. Rory is also a good choice & fits nicely with your other two.

miffybun73 · 24/06/2014 22:26

SweetPeaPods -If people in England use Niamh, then I don't see why you couldn't use Ruaridh - lovely name :)
