Stumbled across this at work (don't ask). Someone from that MTV show Teen Mom has announced her new child will be called Kaiser.

Is it me or... no. Just - no.

Not meaning to be snobby, but Kaiser just isn't a name, is it?

Having said all that Cesar is a widely used name, so ...

Alita7 · 11/06/2014 22:55

I like the sound of it but no due to the implications.

BrunoBrookesDinedAlone · 11/06/2014 23:00

Yes Caesar basically.

Maybe when he grows up he'll change his name to Mr. Dog

SelectASweetBreadTwist · 11/06/2014 23:08

Maybe he'll grow up to marry Katie Price's daughter Princess and they can stage a takeover bid.

Thurlow · 12/06/2014 12:18

It's the spelling, isn't it, not the sound of the name?

It's a derivative of the same name, but while Cesar is acceptable and widely used Kaiser is very much Hmm.

PeterParkerSays · 12/06/2014 12:41

It sounds like the name you'd give to a German Shepherd. Sorry, it's awful.

rachel234 · 12/06/2014 13:15

der Kaiser - the emperor

a bit like calling your child King!

whotheduckisalice · 12/06/2014 19:54

I thought Hitler. So a no from me!

fledermaus · 12/06/2014 21:24

Why Hitler?

rachel234 · 12/06/2014 21:56

What does Hitler have to do with Kaiser Confused

alemci · 12/06/2014 22:08

Kaiser Wilhelm was part of the cause of ww1 with making Germany strong and a leading power in Europe. not direct associations but that Aryan nation train of thought and anti semitism.

AuntieStella · 12/06/2014 22:14

This year sees the century of the outbreak of the First World War.

I think it is a spectacularly bad time to choose this as a name if you are Caucasian and live in Europe.

It is on a par with Adolf.

Noooooo.....

Kaiser roll or Kaiser chiefs. Just DON'T.
