Ok so baby nugget is 2 weeks old today and he is still nameless, I have managed to narrow the list down to 4 but can't decide which to choose. Just hoping for some opinions/suggestions to get it down to at least 2 if not the 1, so there's
Isaac (liked from the beginning on and off)
Zachary (his father doesn't like it)
Vinnie (New and random name that popped into my head last week)
And finally Dominic (father's fave and I quite like it, everyone else doesn't)
Thank you in advance Smile

Dominic is lovely. Really like Dom as a nn. My DH would never have allowed it though. He'd have put it in the same bracket as Sebastian & Tristan.

Zachary is nice as well.

I really don't like Isaac & Vinnie. Sorry.

OwlCapone · 10/06/2014 11:34

Assuming your surname isn't Hunt, Isaac.

Bowlersarm · 10/06/2014 11:38

Zachary.

HenI5 · 10/06/2014 11:50

To me this is Vinnie
www.facebook.com/vinnie

And Dom is the name of the posh bloke on Gogglebox, the one who's usually sozzled.

Not keen on Isaac or Zachary myself, but that's just personal. I wouldn't try and go with a name my DH didn't like though.

Sorry, not much help at all am I Blush Is baby Nugget your PFB or are you fitting a name with other siblings?

CannulaNellie · 10/06/2014 11:57

Love Dominic, Isaac is a close second though.

Notso · 10/06/2014 12:00

In order of preference,
Isaac (DS2 was Isaac for his first 20 minutes then DH changed his mind)

Zachary it's good but I don't really like Zac.
Dominic ok, quite like Dom.

Vinnie awfuL. DSIS was going to use it after her DP's relative and I was so glad when they decided against it.

nugget05 · 10/06/2014 12:30

No not fitting it with any siblings but has 14 1st cousins who he would see on a pretty daily basis so alot of names are taken. I don't mind Dom as a nn or nic as well for Dominic. I love nn to be used and full name including middle and surname when they've been naughty so they know they're in trouble lol vinnie really doesn't go with any of the other names it's a random name that came out of nowhere (and will probably go just as quick) thanks everyone leaning more towards Dominic Smile

I like Dominic begs followed by Zachary. Not keen on the other 2.

Montsti · 10/06/2014 12:42

*best not begs!

Also could use Nico as a nn. which I love!

CPtart · 10/06/2014 12:56

Isaac, Zachary and Dominic are three of my most favourite boys names...in that order.

rachel234 · 10/06/2014 14:22

Vincent nickname Vinnie is cool!

Also like Dominic a lot.

Not keen on Zach(ary) - sounds so harsh and unfriendly to my ears. Isaac is ok, a little popular for me.

ashesandfire · 10/06/2014 14:42

Dominic is my favourite, love that name. Closely followed by Isaac.
Not keen on Zachary and Vinnie is awful, sorry.

wigglesrock · 10/06/2014 14:52

I love Dominic, it was on the list for every one of my 3 daughters Smile .

I can't warm to Vinnie at all, Zachary is alright. Isaac I think is a lovely name written down & said in my head but when I hear it said out loud, (I know 2) I don't like it as much.

soontobeslendergirl · 10/06/2014 14:58

Dominic and Isaac are nice, or maybe Elijah/Eli?

MamaDoGood · 10/06/2014 14:58

I have a beautiful little 2 year old Vinnie. Iam v shocked that mumsnet don't like it !

betold · 10/06/2014 15:05

Don't let other people put you off a name. My DM hated my DSs name at first and actually kept calling him something different altogether!

She has got used to it now.

Dominic is really nice, and I don't think posh, it's more unusual that Zac and Isaac which are quite popular - is that a good thing or not?

idontlikealdi · 10/06/2014 15:10

Dominic

Lots and lots and lots of Isaac's around here.

First reaction to Vinnie was not good but you know, I think I quite like it.

Guin1 · 10/06/2014 16:04

Another vote for Dominic. It sounds to me like that's the name you really want to use anyway! And it works well with Isaac as a mn (unless your surname starts with C, K, E or possibly M).

flipflopsonfifthavenue · 10/06/2014 16:29

Dominic.

lljkk · 10/06/2014 16:37

I like them in this order
Zachary (nice)
Isaac (solid, fine)
Dominic (meh)
Vinnie (yuck)

devoncreamtea · 10/06/2014 16:37

Isaac. If you've liked it throughout, then it's the one to go for! I love Zachary too, but if your dh really doesn't then no go!

TLHW · 10/06/2014 22:32

Love Dominic and Isaac... Both strong, solid names and yet very sweet for a little boy also. :) Congratulations.

Nospringflower · 10/06/2014 22:41

I have a Zac but have always loved Dominic but been told too posh for us! Dominic then!

Wishfulmakeupping · 11/06/2014 01:00

Love Vincent with Vinnie as a nn really really cool.
Issac and Zachary are ok-ish not my cup of tea really.
Dominic is nice.

Mutteroo · 11/06/2014 02:08

Vinnie is my favourite. Like Vincent too.
Also like all your other choices & think you have fabulous taste in boys names.
