Hi,
I am expecting DC2 and have been out in bed rest due to threatened premature labour at 24 weeks. We have currently agreed on a boys name but not on a girls. In the circumstances
I want to have a name ready in case the baby arrives very early.
Our list currently includes
Connie ( my husband loves this but not Constance)
Freya
Polly
Susie
Cara
I was wondering what other people thought and also what other names we might like.
Middle names is likely to be either Alexandra or Isobel.

Thank you

I like Connie, and I love Susie but prefer it as a nickname for Susanna / Susannah.

I'm not so keen on the others.

Connie Isobel or Susie Alexandra would be lovely.

Connie is an absolute stand out on that list

OscarWinningActress · 06/06/2014 21:26

I love Connie and Polly. Would probably choose Polly, if pressed. Hope everything goes smoothly for you Smile.

LJBanana · 06/06/2014 21:26

I think Polly is lovely. Not too popular either which is always good.

ThinkIveBeenHacked · 06/06/2014 21:27

Freya gets my vote

HollyBen · 06/06/2014 21:29

I love Connie and like Polly. Freya is nice but a tad overused. Not keen on the other 2 but don't hate them

Ikeameatballs · 06/06/2014 21:32

I'm not keen on Freya, love Susie and the rest are all in the middle.

manicinsomniac · 07/06/2014 12:00

I really like Cara, quite like Connie (but would christen Constance) and am not keen on the others (though I love Susannah/Suzannah)

Cara Alexandra
Constance (Connie) Alexandra
Susannah (Susie) Isabel

would be my picks

ashesandfire · 07/06/2014 12:29

Connie and Freya are lovely, like Polly too,
Connie Isobel
Freya Isobel
Polly Alexandra
are my favourite options. Good luck :)

sonlypuppyfat · 07/06/2014 12:32

Never liked Connie but my friend has got one and she's lovely. I also like freya but spelled Freyja.

iamdivergent · 07/06/2014 13:06

Love Cara Wink

Montsti · 07/06/2014 13:08

I like Polly best followed by Connie. Not keen on the others at all.

ohthegoats · 07/06/2014 13:45

I know an ace Connie. So, Connie.

I also like freya but spelled Freyja.

Yes, it's always best to make the spellings of names as complicated as possible, and phonically difficult. I prefer Phreiyjah? Wink

sonlypuppyfat · 07/06/2014 13:54

Onthegoats if you know anything Freyja is the correct way to spell it.

ohthegoats · 07/06/2014 14:15

If you're a Norse god.

Phreiyjah is also a 'correct' way to spell it in the world of phonic gods.

sonlypuppyfat · 07/06/2014 14:28

We could cut all names down I don't know why you picked on my preferred spelling.

whotheduckisalice · 07/06/2014 14:36

Freyja is lovely. I like the classic spelling.

Also love Susie as a nickname.

Artandco · 07/06/2014 14:39

Connie Alexandra.

What about Constantine or Constantina instead of Constance if you wanted a longer version

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 07/06/2014 21:14

Cara
I like Susannah with Susie as nn.

Ludways · 07/06/2014 21:23

Connie is the only one I love.

Alita7 · 07/06/2014 21:23

I love Freya and Cara!

Unfortunately dp says no to Freya and Cara is very like dsd 3s name.

MaebeB · 07/06/2014 21:27

Connie, definitely. Constance Alexandra. Would your husband agree to Constance if she's known as Connie? We have an Alexandra who is always known as Alex unless she is in trouble

Kaekae · 07/06/2014 21:29

I love Polly!

Surf25 · 07/06/2014 21:31

Connie Alexandra is lovely. No need to go for Constance if your dh doesn't like it imo.
Or what about Cora - somewhere between Connie and Cara?
Cora Isobel is lovely too.

Hope all goes well for you and baby

BlueStarsAtNight · 07/06/2014 23:48

Connie Isobel is my pick. Hope she stays put for many weeks to come!
