just wanted to get peoples thoughts on the name Jasmine, me and oh both like it but wasnt sure how popular it is? Another thing is the inlaws dog is called Jaz do you think this matters? Oh reckons not but dont know if im just looking into it too much? We both do like it though (about the only one we agree on) and thought it went quite well with our little boys name Logan.

We like Jasmine - it's a pretty flower and nature name, it smells divine, it's got an international feel, and it lends itself to some cool NN's - Jaz, Jazzie - which also have a musical feel. Liking the new NN suggestion of Minnie too, I'd not thought of that before. I think it's worth thinking of NN possibilities since they may well end up being called by one of these more than the full, original name.
Only thing is I'm wondering if it may prove to be slightly of it's era, like those pretty Edwardian flower names of violet and rose, which are only just starting to make a come-back now.
But I still think a flower name for your wee girlie is lovely ....
