3rd name for Millie Maud?

DS and DD have 3 names so I'd like 3 for DD2, but can't think of one that goes!
I like pretty, old fashioned (as can be seen!) names, maybe a welsh one..

Any ideas?

Does it have to be Maud? I can't see why you would choose that if not naming after a grandmother?

What does your surname beginning with?

Millie Maud Elizabeth. You need a long name after the short and very short others. Plus it sounds right in that order.

Others that work similarly:
Millie Maud Olivia
Millie Maud Amelia (maybe a bit M-heavy still...)
Millie Maud Evangeline

Harold is the only name to go with Maud.

How many syllables is your surname, I agree it should be a long 3rd name if you have a short surname.

I love Millie , but when I see it with Maud it just reminds me of The Worst Witch, Mildred Hubble and her rotund, bespectacled, blonde friend, Maud.

Milly Maude Margaret

Surely it has to be Mandy?

Aren't vintage name like these known as granny names as our grannies had them? Mine had one on your list, broken. I think 'granny' is a good thing to some, like granny chic.

Mandy

edwardcullensotherwoman · 06/06/2014 21:54

I suspect some of you are not taking this seriously (referring to Mandy, which of course we won't be using!) Grin

pebbles as I said, DH really likes the name which is the reason we have chosen it. Why would we only use it if after a grandmother? It's a nice name, IMO, your opinion may be different but so is everyone's.

Quizzical tbh she's the only Maud I know of, but I loved the Worst Witch as a child and Mildred and Maud both reminded me so much of myself. I hadn't seen the connection (Millie/Mildred) until you pointed it out though!

Florence. It goes well with your other name choices and is the most beautiful city.
