How popular is Arthur where you live? I think it was around 50 on the latest ONS statistics, but I wondered if it was one of those names that's particularly popular in certain areas (as Stanley seems to be where I am, for example - based on my local area you'd think it was too 10!)
I "know" one Arthur (aged 5) locally (Bucks) and "know of" one other (aged approx 7) who did live in the south east but now lives in the Midlands. I just had a feeling it might be more popular in some areas than in others.
I'm not overly bothered by popularity and plan to just choose the name we both love the most and can agree on! But am oddly fascinated by regional popularity, as much out of curiosity as anything! (Oh, and Arthur is on my boys short list 
)
