Which do you prefer? I already have a ds named Eli!

Ezra

Arlo is having a bit of a moment (don't know if this bothers you but I know 4 under 4) and Cassius reminds me of Julius Caesar

spottydolphin · 27/05/2014 15:05

ooh i like them all. Arlo is my fave, although agree with stokey that it's more popular than the other 2. also maybe a bit too similar sounding to Eli if that bothers you?

they're all nice though :-D

halecromp · 27/05/2014 15:11

Love Arlo, not keen on the others, sorry.

Beeyump · 27/05/2014 15:14

Wowzers! I like Ezra and Cassius.

poppydaisy · 27/05/2014 15:18

Ezra! Great name and brothers Ezra & Eli go really well together imo.

Montsti · 27/05/2014 15:21

I like Cassius - not keen on the others though.

squoosh · 27/05/2014 15:24

Together I think Eli and Ezra sound like two hillbillies who drive around the backwoods of Alabama shooting things.

Eli by itself doesn't conjure up such an image though!

I love Cassius/Cass.

magichandles · 27/05/2014 15:25

I have a Cassius, shortened to Cass most of the time and I've not regretted calling him it at all. I think it goes nicely with Eli as well.

StrawberryCheese · 27/05/2014 22:20

I love Arlo!

Topsyloulou · 27/05/2014 22:45

My friend has an Arlo & it's really unusual around here, no one had heard of it. Like Ezra but not sure it goes with Eli. Cassius is good but would worry it will get shortened to cassie. Arlo is my favourite from your list.

What about things like Amos or Seth?

DramaAlpaca · 27/05/2014 22:47

Arlo.

5madthings · 27/05/2014 22:49

Love arlo and cassius.

My ds4 is Rudi arlo and if we ever have another then cassius is on our name list along with Emmett (pissed that the Lego movie may make that more popular).

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 28/05/2014 08:02

Eli and Arlo really don't go. They are too similar. Eli and Ezra sound a little odd together too. Eli and Cassius seem to be the best combination.

All are great (Ds is one) love Eli too.

I think Cassius goes best - for the reasons above

DitzyDonkey · 28/05/2014 20:31

I think I am starting to lean towards Arlo (though I change my mind often)
I personally don't think Eli and Arlo are too alike!

Asa is another contender, would any of you prefer that over the other options?

Oh btw where I live Arlo would be practically unheard of (I know it's popular in some countries!)

Come on! Two names with vowel sound, L, another vowel sound! Ee lie, aah low. They sound silly.

DitzyDonkey · 28/05/2014 20:54

We will just have to agree to disagree Wink and Arlo is pronounced Ar low not aah low Smile

EhricLovesTheBhrothers · 28/05/2014 21:26

Ar and aah are the same for these purposes!
It's up to you of course, but my opinion stands.

spottydolphin · 28/05/2014 23:03

Asa is awesome. I have one :-D

nooka · 29/05/2014 05:08

Asa is cool. ds's best buddy is called Eli (Elijah) and his big brother is Sol (Solomon). dd would have been Ezzie (Ezra) if she'd not unexpectedly been a boy but personally I don't like using the same initial twice. I'd not choose Arlo either (I don't really like it either, but really I do agree with Ehric, it does sound a bit to similar). So of your original three Cassius I think works best, but Asa is better.

SquirrelledAway · 29/05/2014 07:30

Why would you call a girl Ezra? It's a male name.

WowserBowser · 29/05/2014 09:27

Yes Asa is good too.

Arlo is practically unheard of round these parts too (north west)

Ploppy16 · 29/05/2014 09:31

Arlo is a fab name, I think it's the name of Lee Mack's son. Not quite as keen on the other 2 names though. There's nothing wrong with them, they just don't sound as nice.
