A baby girl name that can also be shortened into a nickname like "Emmy" and "livi".

Madison is out. So are most others if you ask DH. Hmm

Thanks for all the suggestions! Running them all past DH!

Theressomething- I so want Isabelle or Isabella and DH says "it's too popular". Ive said "um, look at Emily and Olivia!". Will be so funny if I do her my way with that name and we both have 3 girls with the same names!

Show your DH this:

2011names

He doesn't have a leg to stand on Wink

If doesn't actually like Isabelle then that's another matter...

mathanxiety · 26/05/2014 03:52

He really can't object to Isabella on the basis that its too popular when you have an Emily and an Olivia. Names get popular because they are lovely names.

I have one of those, and if DS had been a girl he would have had the other name. Yes they are popular names, but as you know from the DDs you have already, they are your Emily and Olivia and that makes all the difference. If you both like the name then go for it and don't let other considerations bother you.
