cezella your story is exactly the same as mine regarding our middle name and being fron my great grandmother, my gran also had Ellen as her middle name and was called Nell.

My sister is "just" Nell.

She has always said, if she had to pick a longer form that could be shortened to Nell, it would Nephele (neh-FELL-ee), a name from Greek mythology.

Depends on how "out there" you want to go I guess!

I knew a Nell who was just Nell, and it was a name I nearly used for dd1. I'd just use Nell.
