Suggestions for a middle name for DD

We have decided that if DC2, due next week, is a girl we will call her Ottilie. We were initially keen on Alice for a middle name, but I think that all of the vowel and 'L' sounds will make it too much of a mouthful when we are telling her off ,especially with our family name which also starts with a vowel and includes L's.

I would be grateful if anyone has any suggestions.

I should add, we have already considered Botterly, but sadly it has been used in the family. Grin

As a rule I try not to have the same amount of syllables in a row...for example

3-4-3 works
3-4-5 works

3-3-3 doesn't work
3-3-2 doesn't work etc

I hope this makes sense?

How are you pronouncing Ottilie? The German pronunciation (and it is a German name AFAIK) is roughly Ott-ee-lea.

I like slender's suggestion of Frances, and someone else's of Jane.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I do like Grace, but it kind of seems like the obligatory middle name and I would like something a little less expected.

Thanks MrsSmith. As someone without a middle name themselves I am quite aware of this fact. I always wanted one when I was growing up and DD1 has one, so we would like DC2 to have one too.
