Joshua or Samuel? Vote now!

Yes, I know neither of them are the most interesting names, but they are the only two DH and I both like.

Middle name will be David. Little brother to Eve.

We'll be using Samuel as family tradition but if I had free rein I'd probably use Joshua. So I vote Joshua!

If you don't love either then you should continue to look - have a look at the ONS list of ALL boys names given last year (well, all those used more than twice I think). Lots of lovely names there!

Personally I'm not keen on either Samuel or Joshua but, like you, love Barnaby and really like Leo. I'm sure there's a name that you both love!

I didn't use a name I loved for ds2 or ds3. It's not always possible if you don't agree with your partner. We definitely had to use compromise names.

Samuel is FAR nicer than Joshua.

Josh is such an awful name whereas Sam is great.

Josh/Joshua is a nice name too. If you prefer one you don't actually need to disparage the other.

I like both but my favourite is Samuel.

OP I fully sympathise, we used our favourite name on DS and now we have no more boys names! If baby is a boy they won't have a name!

Pobble I felt like that pre dd2 but then found out dd1's name was more MY favourite name actually and dd2 got dh's favourite name!

Thanks everyone. No, I haven't made a decision, but this is helping - if only because every time someone votes for Samuel I find myself thinking "aww, but I really like Joshua!" so maybe I'm leaning towards Joshua. DD certainly seems to like it - although she has insisted it's her name a few times! Grin

Joshua - think it's just lovely. It was always my fav name but when DS arrived it just didn't suit him so we went with Noah.
How about waiting till he arrives and seeing if he's a Joshua or Samuel
