What do you think of Priscilla? I want something underused but not made up and you don't get many Cilla's, but like having the option of a full name too

Its a bit of a cross between a Siamese Cat and a Queen of the Desert, for me. I dont have to like it thoughGrin

MerryMarigold · 05/05/2014 19:38

I love it, I really do. I have known 2 Priscillas in my life and they were both amazing. (One is 90 and still going strong). I love Pris as a nn rather than cilla.

I know a Priscilla, her fella is Elvis I kid you not!

Not a fan of the name though

CrispyFern · 05/05/2014 19:41

I don't like the pris sounding bit. I don't like the cilla sounding bit.
In conclusion, I don't like it.

I know a Priscilla, she's in her 60's. Lovely lady.

I quite like the name, if Ethel is making a comeback there's definitely room for the significantly more attractive Priscilla.

RabbitPies · 05/05/2014 20:55

It's dreadful.

Nocomet · 05/05/2014 20:58

I think she was my aunts toy pig.

MerryMarigold · 05/05/2014 23:08

It's way way better than most old lady chic. I don't like the Mabel and Ethels one little bit (not even Matilda, shock horror!), but for some reason I think Priscilla is really elegant and lovely.

Alisvolatpropiis · 05/05/2014 23:36

If you like Priscilla have you also considered Lavinia?

WhereHas1999DissappearedToo · 06/05/2014 06:39

It's awful, reminds me of Cilla Black

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 06/05/2014 07:24

I am not sure about the name Priscilla but out of the mists of time do recall a character from the film of the sci- fi classic Bladerunner called Pris who was far from prissy or old ladyish.

florascotia · 06/05/2014 10:33

There is also Prisca (a rather obscure Roman empress)

If you like 'Cilla', I once met an amazing woman called Lucilla.
