I am due in June 2014 and have found out we are expecting a little girl but cannot think of a name that me and the OH can agree on. Can anyone help us find a unique beautiful name? Our surname is Burge. X

I think I prefer modern names but want something unique but not weird x

Well, if it was totally unique then by definition it would be weird as no-one would ever have used it before and so it would be unfamiliar to everyone.

Do you mean uncommon but still a known name?

I think that is called the holy grail....... :o

I'll give some random ones and if you could say if there are any that are even close to what you like then it will give people more to go on.

Juliet Burge
Pandora Burge
Allia Burge
Kaela Burge
Tamara Burge
Piper Burge
Melody Burge
Jasmine Burge

Cristobal is a boy's name. Perhaps autocorrect took over
and changed it from the girl's name Christabel?

Burge01 · 05/05/2014 09:45

Thank you for all your suggestions but nothing makes me have the wow factor. When I first found out I was pregnant I really liked Harper, Harlowe and Isla but they seem to be more common now and I have gone off them. I love the name Bella but don't think it goes with Burge. My OH likes Ria but I'm not 100%. I already an Alanah and a Louie so a name that goes with her siblings names.

Kim82 · 05/05/2014 09:49

If you're not 100% keen in Ria does Leah sound any better to you?

I'm pregnant with my third girl (4th baby overall) and have always struggled finding girls names that both dh and I like. We've decided on Cara for this baby, it's not used much at all where I live but it's still a name that everybody knows.

My surname is similar to yours and I am also expecting a girl, so watching with interest!

Flora scotia -I love love Endellion.
Glad someone else has mentioned it somewhere :)

Burge, Harlowe is nice, what about Marlowe? (Although the meaning isn't great)

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 05/05/2014 13:28

Amber was my first thought until reading your surname.

Unique is tricky.

I suppose Sigourney is out of the question? Tiffany? Zoe?

atypicalwotsit · 08/05/2014 09:09

I know a Christobel! Think I did a gender name remix!

Tove, Merixchell (merryshell), Soraya, Bibiana, Damaris, Elka.

Not too sure about Belle.

I also love Endellion! If only I was brave enough to use it....
