I'm thinking of adding Eartha to my list of girl options but would like to know other opinions/first impressions of this name? Also any other girl's names you think I might like (espec beginning with 'E")

Thanks :-)

Very difficult to pronounce

AvonCallingBarksdale · 02/05/2014 18:22

Ooh, not Eartha. Really for the rhyming slang. Elena/Eleanor/Elsbeth/Elodie/Emma?

CoreyTrevorLahey · 02/05/2014 18:26

I like Eartha! Eartha Kitt is super cool.

Annora Carrot is only a problem if you're English Wink

Just seen that thread on active seashell - I hadn't seen it before.

I can't see the test thingy on my tablet screen though as its too small Sad

SouthernShepherdess · 02/05/2014 18:48

I don't like it personally, like someone else said it sounds quite ugly. My own opinion however..

HavannaSlife · 02/05/2014 18:53

My first thought was poo

weatherall · 02/05/2014 18:54

Eartha is better than all those horrid old lady names.

I saw eartha kitt in an interview and she seemed really cool.

I like Estella too.

Also Ebony, Emer, Etaine, Elaine, Elena, Evan, Ever, Eleica.

Bowlersarm · 02/05/2014 18:55

I like it!

I might spell it Ertha just because Eartha is a bit earthy.

Great sound to it.

ThatBloodyWoman · 02/05/2014 18:59

Elvie?

Artandco · 02/05/2014 19:01

What about Inara?

BethGoLightly · 02/05/2014 19:08

It's awful, sorry.

BrunoBrookesDinedAlone · 02/05/2014 19:18

Ursula is the name you need, I reckon.

MabelSideswipe · 02/05/2014 19:21

Eartha Kitt was a pretty cool woman actually. She had a really hard childhood but was a pretty big star until she blotted her copybook in the USA speaking out against the Vietnam war. She wsd called a sadistic nymphomanic by the CIA! You can't get better than that.

flavourflave · 02/05/2014 19:22

Endellion?

fanjodisfunction · 02/05/2014 21:21

I really like the name and have toyed with adding it to my list. I also like

Thora
Hera
Astrid

beershuffle · 02/05/2014 23:35

Rhyming slang for shit round here. It would be like calling a baby Poo.

telsa · 03/05/2014 00:24

Fantastic name. So strong. And listen to some Eartha Kitt now!

RaisingSteam · 03/05/2014 00:27

I know an Eartha and she is as lovely as her name. So I'd vote yes.

Alisvolatpropiis · 03/05/2014 01:29

Eartha is hideous. Regardless of the amazingly talented namesake.

Alisvolatpropiis · 03/05/2014 01:30

I second Ursula.

Alisvolatpropiis · 03/05/2014 01:31

Sorry, Ursula is a great name is what I meant.

Tranquilitybaby · 04/05/2014 08:12

No because of the rhyming slang

Only1scoop · 04/05/2014 08:19

If you told me you were prg with an 'Eartha' I probably would chuckle....just a little Smile

MrsTamkin · 04/05/2014 09:15

Enora is lovely!!!

Mybellyisaneasteregg · 04/05/2014 10:31
