Possible boys names... Opinions please!

Atticus.... We loved 10 years ago but I hear it's getting popular and a fad name?

Caspian... I really love but partner not keen.

Zephyr.. Is it more for a girl?

Leo.... Is it too popular?
Considering August... Gus for a nickname?
I like Heath as a middle name possibly.

-Trendiness not friendliness.
Auto correct and pregnancy sausage fingers are the bane of my life.

I love Zephyr.

Caspian is good. Atticus is pretentious and Leo is boring.

Zephyr is cool!

Really, is Atticus become really popular? I don't know any but do like the name.

I HAD to comment on this thread, as my DS's name is the first word in the thread title!
Yes I have an Atticus (and nothing to do with MN as I joined when DS was about 2) and ofcourse I think it is a great name. Never had any negative comments, occassionally remarks of "wow what a great name!" We live in a very multicultural area though, so there are a lot of very unusual names around, so it doesn't stand out.

I preser Casper to Caspial and I quite like Zephyr, but think Leo can be a bit middle of the road.

and I have never met any other child called Atticus, so I don't think it's that popular.

I can't get past the fact that I once knew someone who would use 'zephyr' as a euphemism for a fart.

'Who is responsible for that deadly zephyr?'

Anyway.

Leo is lovely.
Heath is lovely.
Leo Heath is a bit choppy and short though.

I find Caspian very feminine, but it's a nice sound.

I don't really like Atticus - associate it too much with TKAM and it just seems a bit try-hard because of that.

August - no. How about Gustav to get to Gus? Or Fergus?

The trouble is, you have to be careful with Heath as a middle name, or you end up sounding like an area of natural beauty.

Love Heath.

Love Atticus, I agree with Bruno, it does seem a bit try-hard, but that doesn't put me off at all for some reason.

In light of that, and the Heath theme...I give you...Diggory!

Heath and Diggory were on my initial lists, but were crossed off by DH in an instant!

Misfitless · 30/04/2014 09:47

Don't like either of the other three, OP, but each to their own x

Caspian sounds lovely, it makes me think of Prince Caspian.

August, on the other hand, makes me think of Augustus Gloop, sorry. Grin
