Which do you prefer?

Love Anna as a nn but prefer a longer full name so any other Anna-related suggestions also welcomed Smile

Love Rosanna!

adaloveslace · 22/04/2014 22:37

Annaliese
Anastasia

I love Anna as a standalone name, or an abbreviation of the above, but not wild on Annabel. Rosanna is nicer.

Sampanther · 22/04/2014 22:40

I'd worry about Anastasia getting shortened to Stacey, which I dislike. Annaleise sounds a bit too American for me.

Rosanna is gorgeous.

Blueberrybaby · 23/04/2014 02:54

Love Annabel and Anastasia. I've not heard of it being shortened to Stacy.

Rosanna. And she will even have a song with her name! Chris de burgh wrote it for his rosanna-long before she became miss world!! I taught a rosanna years ago and one of the other children told her mum there was a girl in her class who was called "the angel song" as she thought it was hosanna! So cute!

How about a combo of the two-
Rosella.

This is my cousins name and I've always envied it's unusual cute beauty

I like Marianne but difficult to justify "anna" from it. Annalie?

Not Rosella, surely - just makes me thing "parrot" (I am antipodean).

RuthlessBaggage · 23/04/2014 07:05

I love Annabel.

legalalien · 23/04/2014 07:05

Think not thing...

Mrsfullhouse · 23/04/2014 08:30

Do you know, in the 27 years I've known her, I've never once thought 'parrot'!
How strange... of course it's a bloody parrot!
(Why have I never thought this??)

Total retraction, don't call your child Rosella.

Annabel is lovely, but if you like Anna, just ho for it! Beautiful name in its own right.

Mrsfullhouse · 23/04/2014 08:32

'Go'for it... don't ho for it for Christ's sake!
