Cara, Lara or Cecily?

Which one do you prefer and why?

I appreciate that Cara and Lara are very similar, which is one of the reasons I can't decide which I like more. Do you think Cara will constantly be saying "no, it's Cara with a C not a K" or will Lara get mistaken for Laura? I am not as keen on Clara, so can't even avoid having to choose that way!

All 3 names go with our surname and the middle name will be Elizabeth.

Cara - think Cara Delevigne may influence it's popularity .

I don't like Cara at all.
Laura is a lot more beautiful than Lara.
Cecily is all right.

Cara is the one that I really dislike.
I prefer Laura or Cecelia.

Cecily & Lara here. Cara sounds 'hard' to me

Cara (but that may be because I'm a Caragh). But it does sound lovely with Elizabeth.
Have you looked at the meanings of the names? This may help you decide.

I love Cara. Sounds quite sweet but also strong.

Second favourite is Lara (although I prefer Laura) as it's beautiful.

Cecily, not so much.

I like Cecily best, then Cara. Not so keen on Lara, reminds me of Lara Croft x

Cecily is lovely, Laura too (prefer this to Lara).

I do like Lara though, Cara not so much as it sounds too harsh to me.

I hate Lara, I find it very harsh sounding. I prefer Larissa. Cecily would be my top of the three.

DC2 decided to make an appearance a few weeks early and turned out to be DD1, who we have called Cara Elizabeth. Cara had been the front runner for a while, although we did both like Lara and Cecily. But it was lovely to read all the positive comments and confirmed that the name was the one, so thank you!
