Anna is a great name.

Merefin · 17/03/2014 21:15

Anna for sure. Lovely. Classic. Sophisticated. Good for a little girl and an adult.

Too many Sophies.

MadameJosephine · 17/03/2014 21:15

Definitely Anna, beautiful name

BonaDea · 17/03/2014 21:16

Anna. Great name.

FullOfChoc · 17/03/2014 21:22

I'd go with Anna.

Pregnantberry · 17/03/2014 21:28

There are soo many Sophies, I would go with Anna if I were you.

Would you go with Anna or Anne on the birth certificate? I know someone who has always been an Annie but has Anne on her birth cert because it's the traditional/original version.

Judyandherdreamofhorses · 17/03/2014 21:34

Anna was always my favourite name. Sadly, DH didn't like it when it came down to it.

Peppercake · 17/03/2014 21:36

What do people associate with the name Anna / how do you picture someone called Anna Smile ? Probably difficult to answer....

I think Anna is becoming more popular recently. I like both though.

Merefin · 17/03/2014 21:45

Anna is clever and serious but also very kind. Independent.

(Based on Annas I know)

Peppercake · 17/03/2014 21:47

Merefin, that sounds like my kinda girl Smile.

Anna

Peppercake · 17/03/2014 21:52

I do like Sophie a lot too.... Apart from it being very popular, what's a lovely Sophie like then as opposed to Anna?

Definitely Anna. Had one of ours been a girl, she would have been Anna or Honor.

I have 3 year old one Grin She's as my father in law would say ...."a real character". It's a lovely name, I have 3 daughters & it's a name people always comment on, although it's a lot more popular in my neck of the woods than in other places.

I also have a Sofia Grin
