I'm only 14+ weeks pregnant and obviously don't know the gender but I just cannot get this name out of my head.

Andrew. I especially love it written down.

I don't know any Andrew's under 40 although I'm not in the UK.

Your opinions most welcome.

Lovely name, classic and quite under used i think.

I like it. Really like Drew as a nn.

I have a 19 yr old Andrew.
Very definitely not an Andy or a Drew, you can almost see his hackles rising if someone uses those!
The name only occurred to me a couple of days before he arrived otherwise he would be a Carl.
I like it, I think it runs very well with a two syllable surname (as ours is).

My DH is an Andrew and he is definitely an Andrew, not Andy or Drew. He only has to remind people once that it's not Andy etc and they get it.

Lovely, it might not be very popular now but it is a classic.

JapaneseMargaret · 20/03/2014 09:00

It's not a timeless classic, it's a cyclical classic, going in and out of fashion (I have such a name myself).

Very few names are genuinely timeless - any name that is, or was, in any way popular is not timeless.

I like it, though. My ex is an Andrew; never Andy.

I like Andrew.

I think most of the Andrew's I know are in their 30's / 40's, but I do know one Andrew who's still in primary school.
