Down to three! Help please

Just been out with dh discussing name options for baby due next week.

We have settled on a boys name and backup but finding girls much harder - down to three.

They are:

Lara
Anna
Cordelia

Which would you pick? I'm a little worried Cordelia is a mouthful with our surname but dh is quite keen on it.

Any middle name suggestions welcome too!

Oh and Anna might not have a shortening, but she could be Annie if you want a nickname, which is lovely :)

Definitely Anna.

Dd3 is Anna - out of my 3 it's probably the name I get most complimented on. Lara floated about our list for a while as well.

Cordelia is nice, I know most sensible people think King Lear, but it'll always be a Buffy name to me

Thanks everyone. Not much of a consensus then! Not keen on Gordy as a nickname for Cordelia, I was thinking Cora or Celia but can't control other people when it comes to giving them nicknames!

Anna Cordelia has a nice ring to it. Considering Kara Juliet? Lara Sophie? Not sure which.

Lara. Lara Sophie is nice, I think Lara Sophia sounds a bit better though.

Anna. A great, classic, international, classy yet class-less name.

Lara is nice, but only in some accents IMO (suits softer and RP type accents maybe?).

Cordelia is too frilly for my taste personally, but pretty nevertheless.

Anne Cordelia. And buy her a complete set of Anne of Green Gables to read to her as soon as possible!

Anna! This is one of my favourite names, with the cute nn Annie. I can't use it as it's DH's sisters name, otherwise it would be my number 1.
Not keen on Cordelia, and Lara is just ok.

I only know one little Anna [aged 5] and think it is a lovely name and Cordelia works as a middle name too. Lara just makes me think of Lara Croft I'm afraid.

Anna is a great name, simple, classic, could be from many countries, and absolutely timeless.

Lara has a great sound, romantic 'Dr Zhivago' associations (never mind Lara Croft Tomb raider!). A very cool name, though possibly it may date a bit?

Cordelia is quite nice, but not in the same league as the other two.

yy to Anna Cordelia, sounds beautiful and was just about to suggest that.

Lara is nice but I just don't feel the same passion for it as Anna. Plus Anna is timeless. When she's little she can be Annie, when older she can be Anna and she could be Anne if she wanted to as well.

Could you not keep your shortlist and then wait until you see the baby? I did this with DD-ended up using 2 of the 3 names we went in with.

Anna Cordelia is beautiful. So is Cordelia Anna. I love Lara too, but not combined with Anna.
