I adore the bane Eden, Edie as a nn. Husband is worried it's a bit wishy-woshy, like Rainbow or Daffodil! What do you think of when you hear it? Any input would be great!

I really really like it BUT I don't think I could use it as it's a. Not really a proper name and b. It's very popular atm. I think you're husbands right.

Would you consider Edith with Edie as nickname?

bouquetofpencils · 09/03/2014 16:50

When I hear Eden I think it is classy.

sleepingbeautiful · 09/03/2014 17:12

I think it's getting more popular, but it doesn't have good connotations to me at all. I won't say what in case someone else reads who has already used it.

How about Rosanna and Iris?

Mrsindecision · 09/03/2014 17:21

Not keen on Eden at all. Rosanna is a far nicer name IMO.

You need something more classic

Roseanna and Juliet
Roseanna and Emmeline
Roseanna and Elaina
Roseanna and violet or viola
Roseanna and Beatrice
Roseanna and Eleanora
Roseanna and Elsie
Roseanna and Martha
Roseanna and Ester

I watched a programme about beauty pageants in America and the girls they were following was called Eden, so whenever I hear it it goes into my head in an American accent which puts me off!

I do agree with others that it isn't as classic as Rosanna. I really like Edith or Iris from the suggestions above.
