What do you think of this name for a boy?

Expecting third child, brother to Alice and Helena (Heli for short). I have very mixed feelings on Perry. I really like it but at the back of my mind I cannot help but think of Kevin and Perry! Another reason that I learn towards it (Which may be a negative point for some) is the Katy Perry connection. I admit to being a massive fan-girl!
I have had such mixed feedback. One friend said it sounded very "chavvy" and another said it was a "toff" name.

Perry doesn't seem a good fit with your girl's names TBH. Also, I am meeting more and more girls called Perry/Perrie.

MyNameIsKenAdams · 08/03/2014 11:48

Just reminds me of Kevin and Perry "Hello Mrs Patterson"

UriGeller · 08/03/2014 11:51

Its really wet, sorry. Your girls names are brilliant and strong, you need a strong boys name

squoosh · 08/03/2014 13:03

Definitely reminds me of Kevin and Perry.

The Perry, in Kevin and Perry, was named after the actor who plays Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick). I like the name. All names can have negative connotations is you hard enough.

G rowing up, I always associated George with Georgie Porgie pudding and pie. - images of fat children always sprung to mind, but now there are hundreds of them, including a Prince.

WhoAteAllTheCremeEggs · 08/03/2014 13:23

I like it.
Kevin and Perry is long gone already I think when your child is older it wont cross anyones mind.

lljkk · 08/03/2014 13:30

Perry is an alcoholic drink. That would put me off.

BikeRunSki · 08/03/2014 13:33

I don't think of K&P anymore, but it is very nicknamey with your brilliant girls' names (I am biased, I am Alice Helen!).

MaxsMummy2012 · 08/03/2014 13:36

I like it, I taught a Perry and 'kevin and Perry' never crossed my mind at all.

Hassled · 08/03/2014 13:38

I don't like it - sorry. Your DDs have beautiful names - your DS will need something strong and classic to go with them. Perry isn't that.

Topaz25 · 08/03/2014 13:45

It reminds me of the alcoholic drink too.

squoosh · 08/03/2014 13:47

Yes I don't think Perry goes with your girls names. Love Heli for Helena by the way.

Glasshammer · 08/03/2014 19:11

Monty? Rafferty? Casper?

Frontdoorstep · 08/03/2014 19:54

I tend to see Perry more as a girls nam tbh, but it's fine for a boy too.
