Well sort of...

Here is the final shortlist. Some suit her, some don't, some are the same as the baby in the bay opposite, but want opinions on your fave please :)

Penelope

Anya

Matilda

Mila

How are you pronouncing Mila?

Matilda is pretty popular where I am. I'd probably go with Anya or Penelope. They are all nice though.

PunkAssMoFo · 01/03/2014 23:26

Anya. Such a beautiful name.

Penelope is ok. I know a million young Matilda's.

meerschweinchen · 01/03/2014 23:27

Anya. Lovely name.

floatyflo · 01/03/2014 23:27

Mila is Mee-la.

Anya

Love Penelope and Matilda. Not keen on Mila and Anya has negative connotations for me.

Congratulations btw! Smile

Anya
Congratulations Thanks

joanofarchitrave · 01/03/2014 23:30

Anya.

ThefutureMrsTatum · 01/03/2014 23:31

Anya

ChaircatMiaow · 01/03/2014 23:34

Congratulations! Thanks

Penelope is my fave. She could be Penny for short, how cute!

makingdoo · 01/03/2014 23:39

Mila

Love it. So pretty. Anya very popular where I am although spelt differently.
Also like Penelope.

BusinessUnusual · 01/03/2014 23:41

Anya

Then Penelope.

williaminajetfighter · 01/03/2014 23:44

Congrats OP! My DD is Matilda (age 7) and I'm partial to that but it is getting popular.

After that I would definitely go for Mila - classy, beautiful and works for all ages. Penelope is just too much of a mouthful and Anya would spend her whole life explaining that it's 'Ahn-ya' not 'Ann-ya'....

Good luck! You can always give her a second, third and fourth name just in case you want to call her one of her middle names in case the chosen name doesn't suit (advice from someone very non-committal!!)

Mmmnotsure · 01/03/2014 23:48

Congratulations.
I know this isn't what you meant, but your title reminded me:

"Infant Joy" by William Blake

"I have no name;
I am but two days old."
What shall I call thee?
"I happy am,
Joy is my name."
Sweet joy befall thee!

Pretty joy!
Sweet joy, but two days old.
Sweet Joy I call thee:
Thou dost smile,
I sing the while;
Sweet joy befall thee!

AtSea1979 · 01/03/2014 23:49

Anya

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 01/03/2014 23:51

Anya. Lovely name, very pretty.

I'm not a fan of Penelope or Matilda & I think a Mila would be in for a lifetime of mispronunciation.

Mrswellyboot · 01/03/2014 23:52

I like Penelope if she was going to be Penny

Many Congratulations and health and happiness to you and your family. Such a special time.

SanityClause · 01/03/2014 23:52

Anya Joy

floatyflo · 06/03/2014 00:32

Mmmntosure I love that, thank you.

We decided on Anya :)
