Evening all,
DC2 is due next week and I'm still not sold on a girl's name. We have had Tabitha, Alice and Polly all in the mix but none of them seem quite 'right' with my daughter's name. I've also learned that I can't use the name Tabitha for family reasons... Help me ladies!

I had a friend calls Ottilid. She is German. Hers sisters are Brigitte and Renate. Too Teutonic for you?

In fact, I am pregnant with DC3 and it has just shot to the top of my list.

Do you ever have people struggle with it? Spelling/pronounciation?

My two boys are John and Albert and if we have a girl, I'd like to maybe go a bit more unusual and I do remember now meeting an Ottilie last year and thinking it was gorgeous. I'd forgotten about it.

Dilys, yes, no-one can spell it. We always get "Otterly".

Hi Dilys, we do get some unusual spellings (Otterly, Otily etc) but I have a very popular name and sometimes I still have to spell it! We've found that most people love it (or at least claim to!) and it's unusual without being to 'out there'. I lovely ut and have never regretted it for a moment. i think it would be lovely with your boys names.
