...and wondering whether i chose the right one for 11 week old. is this normal? Anyone else addicted to baby names threads? I hope to not see my dd's name here, as i don't want it to be too popular, and yet i'm still not sure if it's nice enough for her! and i'm trying to spot all the lovely names we didn't use and hoping they become ridiculously popular so that i can be relieved we didn't use them. God i am a sad case. it's not like i'm going to change her name now!

But it wasn't my first choice!

I felt like this with my dc2s name too and now I love it although it's become more popular which I dislike

I went through this with my ds name I had terrible anxiety over whether I'd given him the right name. I would spend hours reading the baby names threads. But he's 16 months old now and im happy with his name he suits it so much. I think its quite common to go through this so dont worry u r not on your own. Be happy with your choice.

It's hard I still wonder if I made the right choice now and my dd is 12 months. I love the name but i wish it wasn't as popular as it is.

I'm starting to think I'm not normal, I knew straight away what DD's name was (from the age of 12) and couldn't care less if it's popular or not.

But looking at some of the awful unusual name suggestions on some threads I must just have really boring taste in names

Sammie I think that you're perfectly normal. I decided on girls names at 16 and stuck with them until my dds were born 15 and 16 years later.

I must be really boring in the names department, too.

My 6mo has a fairly popular name and I love it but still obsess.

Gosh my DD is the same age as yours and I'm going through similar worries. The more I say it, the more it becomes her name. I hope!
