Too samey?

DD is Arabella. Problem is that I seem to be drawn to very similar sounding names so I'm just wondering if it would it be crazy to consider calling DD2 something like Mariella or Raphaella? Are they just too samey and matchy?

Melissa would be okay - and lovely name.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/02/2014 14:34

And I really like Christabel.

Buzimomma · 15/02/2014 14:51

I really like Christabel too but think it may be too samey with Arabella - "bel" overload perhaps??

Yes, you're probably right. Do you like Cassandra/Cassie?

Davidhasselhoffstoecheese · 16/02/2014 07:50

Eliana and Ariella

Davidhasselhoffstoecheese · 16/02/2014 07:51

Eliana pronounced el-ey-na

Davidhasselhoffstoecheese · 16/02/2014 07:55

Elaina sorry! Can't spell

Davidhasselhoffstoecheese · 16/02/2014 08:06

Mabel might be different enough? But Arabella is flowery and warm, Mabel is steady and understated.

Mabelle

Gabrielle

Think they are too similar, sorry. How about Marietta?

Davidhasselhoffstoecheese · 16/02/2014 08:17

Sorry more!!!

Elsa

Elenora

Electra (my favourite)

Eliza

Elodie (mumsnet top name!)

Elona

Eloisa

Thanks for the replies. Not really keen on Cassandra (dated to my ear), Ariella is pretty BUT ends in "Ella"! Mabel is the name of our family dog. Don't want a name where there's any confusion over pronunciation so that also rules out many names I really like.
Marietta is really lovely, that's going on the list, thank you!
Also like Elodie, but I fear it's going to be the new Amelie which is incredible popular around here!

One of my new favourite actors has two sons: Levi and Livingston. What was he thinking? Sorry, another 'no'.

Britishseamonkey · 19/02/2014 21:19

Francesca? Marina? Sienna? Victoria? Florence? Lucia?
