Hi just wondering I already have a son with R initial and hubby has R initial I have T initial and my daughter 2nd child has l initial the name I have chosen for our son due in a few weeks also starts with an R would you do it?

Think Ricky,Ronnie & Riley ( not actual names) when said seperately or in family age order it's fine just when all male names said together as above

Thanks

My OH and I have the same initial and my two boys have the same initial as each other. The post thing is a big red herring. we have turned off paper statements so don't get any of those and the boys also have internet banking (age 12 & 13) and don't receive statements either. The only mail we get is birthday and Christmas cards or magazines.

We didn't do it deliberately, we just chose names we liked. The fact is that after 18 years they probably wont be living together in the same house anyway.

My Oh has the same initial as 2 other brothers and his Dad - and that was in the days where we actually did get more mail - they never found it any problem.

It's not a red herring. Post has changed. It's not bank statements these days, it's eBay and Amazon parcels.

I am glad that I don't share the same initial as any of my siblings. Some wouldn't care, I would.

I have the same initial as my DSis. Not deliberate but my parents really liked my name and weren't going to be put off just because my sisters name started with the same letter. It never caused a problem, certainly neither of have ever felt any kind of lack of individuality Confused

The only issue we had with post was I once opened a valentine intended for my DSis and tbh I was relieved as I didn't want one in the first place Grin

I honestly can't see it being a problem. Not a great deal is sent by post now anyway and when it is it's usually either addressed in full or most companies have some distinguishing on their envelopes anyway.

Forgot to add that yes we did get called each other's names by our parents but then we'd also get called our brothers name too, and his begins with a different letter Grin
