Clementine is one of my most favourite names ever!!

DitsyDonkey · 08/02/2014 17:02

Jynxed clementine has been on my list for years for first name spot but I just felt it was too long next to Eli and also I don't like any of the shortenings! But it is pretty fab!

They don't go together at all.

Styles are too different.

Astrid awful too. Too sci fi.

juneybean · 08/02/2014 17:11

I love both names but not sure about them together!

DitsyDonkey · 08/02/2014 19:57

Ok well I have definitely decided that I won't use the two names together.

But I'm pretty much in love with Astrid.

I'm thinking Astrid Florence is pretty darn cute!

Astrid is a great name. Glad you're going off Clementine!

lemonmuffin · 08/02/2014 20:09

Astrid is lovely. and the good thing is, that you cant really shorten it.

winterhat · 08/02/2014 21:19

I don't like Astrid, but Clementine is a lovely name.

DitsyDonkey · 09/02/2014 16:12

Sounds a bit like Asterix. Sorry. Nice names though.

DitsyDonkey · 09/02/2014 18:33

sarahquilt · 09/02/2014 20:23

Astrid is nice. Clementine is not.

smudgedhorizon · 09/02/2014 20:24

I hear Astrid and I just imagine it being shortened to "Ass", which you know it will be, a lot. I'd pass.

DitsyDonkey · 09/02/2014 21:05

No actually I don't know it will be Smile

Love Astrid, it was on my short list but as our last name starts with St we were concerned about alliteration. Beautiful name, and not overused.

Spindelina · 11/02/2014 12:25

I know an Astrid Ellen, which I think is lovely.

squoosh · 11/02/2014 14:41

I think Astrid sounds like the name of a rare fungus.

chrome100 · 11/02/2014 19:30

Astrid is an old lady's name. Clementine is a fruit. So it's a no from me.

winterhat · 11/02/2014 20:40

Astrid is harsh, like get rid.

ellawithaspecialnose · 11/02/2014 20:50

Astrid is beautiful! It's elegant and classy and ... cool and continental ...Grin
