So, am expecting twins, don't know the sexes and so stuck on names!
Already have:
Jasmine Alba
Sasha Violet
Theo James
Harriet Marie

So far we like:
Girl (1st choice): Bea (absolute definite) NO MIDDLE NAME!!!!
Girl (2nd choice): no idea but names we like are: Xanthe, Bethan, Juliet, Willow (not sure on this one) open to any other suggestions!!
Boy (1st choice): Toby John, absolute definite.
Boy (2nd choice): again, nothing but like: Arthur, Max, Charlie, Peter

Names we love but can't use are:
Olivia
Emily
Isabel

George
William

I'm not keen on overly traditional names for girls e.g. Charlotte, Elizabeth etc. But don't really have a specific style for boys! Please help, thanks!

Vivienne? I love that name!
Jacob, Aiden, Daniel?

IPokedABadgerWithASpoon · 02/02/2014 22:13

Frances/Francis?!

HeatherCatherine82 · 02/02/2014 22:26

I've heard Bea pronounced as "Baya" too, which is lovely :) I know a Bea ("Bee") who's a Beatrix, which is cool. Xx

Lemon1234 · 03/02/2014 15:18

Not keen on baya pronunciation sorry! My thoughts at the moment (and changing every 5 mins) are
Girlgirl = Bea Mathilda and Tessa Kate
Girlboy = Bea Mathilda and Felix John
BoyBoy = Toby John and Felix Peter

Forgot to add, Bea may be Beatrix, undecided yet!

Lemon1234 · 03/02/2014 18:42

Sorry, not keen on baya prononciation. My thoughts at the moment which change every minute are:
Gg: Bea Mathailda and Tessa Kate
Gb: Bea Mathilda and Felix John
Bb: Toby John and Felix Peter

I had a friend called Beatrice rather than Beatrix (although it was pronounced Bay-a-treece so probably the wrong sound).

Toby John makes me think Toby Jug but then again you rarely hear a middle name without a surname.

ooma · 06/02/2014 00:27

Whatever you choose imagine shouting for them both - and believe me you will. As Bea is a one syllable name it flows quite well if the other twin has a two syllable name - a three syllable name makes it a bit of a mouthful.

Best of luck

Thanks for all your help, I had two girls:
Bea Isabella and Tessa Lucy

Please give Bea a middle name, she will feel really left out!

Love your childrens names!

Bea is nice, think Phoebe/ Bethan as a full name is a good idea.Juliet is my favourite of the others, really nice and sounds nice with Bea, whereas Bea and Xanthe is quite rhymey. If you have girl twins maybe you could go for another short name - Bea and Tess, Bea and Nell, Bea and Cass, Bea and Lou with longer full name.

Toby John is lovely, just one point, he'd have the exact same initals as your older son. I guess if you had two boys the second twin could have middle name John instead, something like Toby George and Evan John?

Trooperslane · 15/02/2014 19:47

Bea
Cass Thanks
