Struggling to name a baby boy...

So, I had my beautiful girls names picked out, but we've really struggled with boys names... we don't agree on any. We found out yesterday that we're having a boy. I have no idea what we are going to call him.

I thought it might be nice if his name began with R, as OH's does, as did his Dad (Rodney... no...), and his grandpa (Richard, same as OH). OH doesn't have either parent alive ,and I thought it might be nice for him to carry something on like this.

No names are jumping out at me at all. I just can't find one that I love enough to call my little boy. Girls names were so easy!

It has to go with David as a middle name, after my lovely Daddy.

Hubby only likes Rowan. But now I'm not so sure.

I'd like it to be a little unusual, but not so much so that I'd feel stupid telling someone what we chose to name our baby. I hate when people judge babies based on their name!

I know two Rex's and two Reuben's. Not that that helps you all under one.

How about Ryker. It's the Dutch form of Richard. Would be on my short list but we're already using Richard as a middle name as it's a family name.

Little girl names were Phoebe Joy or Elodie Rose.

I wasn't in love with any of my DS2 choices. Had to go with the one that we both liked.

FWIW I really like Rowan and Reuben. DH prefers the Rohan spelling, I like both ways.

I think it'll probably be Rowan, it's the only one we both agree on.

I like roderick, could nn Rory (as in Inspector Alleyne, mild swoon....). Our surname precludes R names, but also like Robin/ Robert.
I don't know any little male Rowans, it seems to be used for girls just now.

Rufus and Rex are gorgeous. Rafferty is also great!

I have a Rory, love it. Loved Rafferty but we weren't brave enough. DH would have had Rufus given half the chance but I couldn't be convinced. Rex is super cool!

Although I also really like Rowan. Dh didn't though. Boo.
