I have posted a few times with my dilemma of finding a boys name. My grandad was Bill and husband is Liam so going to have William (nn Billy) or just Billy.

So basically William ......... Or Billy ........

Need a middle name. Was going to have William as middle name when we picked a name anyway but now need to pick a middle name to go with with William or Billy. Daughter is Eva.

So first questions Eva and Billy or Eva and William? which sounds best?

Next which middle name. Other names we liked were Seth, Ethan, Alfie, Ted, Isaac. As William was always going to be middle name but now cant be if its first or obviously wont go with Billy im not sure what middle to have. Open to ideas other than names we liked. x x

Sorry if this is confusing. x

William Isaac is nice, or William Edward. But tbh I wouldn't personally choose William if dh is Liam. Don't like Billy.

Oubliette0292 · 28/01/2014 20:44

Eva and William

William Seth

Not Bill Ted due to Bill and Ted films.

William Seth

William Isaac or William Seth.
You can always nickname him Billy.

Chelseylou · 28/01/2014 20:55

Ye im thinking William but call him Billy as nn. Just need a middle as william was always going to be middle if we chose something else. Ha ha yes bill n ted would not be a good plan x

William Seth and William Isaac flow best together I reckon.

And Eva and William sound lovely together. My DD is Eva Smile

William sounds nicer & he can choose when he is older if he prefers billy as nn whereas the other way round he wouldn't have the choice.

For a second name I would chose a name with 1 syllable (Seth in your list so far) as it may become a bit of a mouthful otherwise. Good luck.

William Isaac

Just make sure if you pick isaac or ethan that his initials won't spell anything potentially embarrasing eg WIP or WET etc

Chelseylou · 28/01/2014 22:19

Ha ha I thought this. Surname begins R. X

William Issac

I love Will as a nn for William as well as Billy.

Viviennemary · 28/01/2014 22:22

I prefer William to Billy. But I don't get this obsession on MN for wanting names to match. I wouldn't want say Billy and Tilly. But otherwise why does it matter.

Vijac · 28/01/2014 22:49

William Isaac (but middle name isn't that important, just go with your favourite).

GimmeDaBoobehz · 29/01/2014 18:15

William.

William Isaac sounds really lovely. :)
