Too close to the Cruise girl's name for me.

Makes me think of Tom Cruise/Katie Holmes. Depends on the surname, area you live in and how 'hip' you are, but it would be too out there for me.

Zuri is my nephew's name ..surprised to see this name mentioned here! Yes...beautiful in Swahili. & I think its a lovely name :)

It's too much like Suri - maybe sounds like you're trying to copy the Holmes-Cruises as were?

Also it's Basque in origin meaning white - if that matters?

It made me think of the girl in the kids tv show Jessie but I imagine not everyone is bombarded with as much Disney Channel as me.

Supercalafraga he hasnt been given any nicknames...I guess although its an unusual name its only 2 syllables so seems fine for people to manage so far . He's 18 months now. Its a lovely name & meaning.

Feels like a boy's name to me - think I must have known a Zuri.
