Hi All, I finally have a shortlist! Please give your opinions on the following names ....

Lucan
Elliot
Gabriel
Hugo
Roman

Not so keen on Lucan and Roman. Others are good.

Don't like roman.

I hate Lucan! Much prefer Lucien.

Fave is Hugo.

Love Hugo

Gabriel and Elliot are fine, but Hugo makes me think of upper-class twits

I don't like Gabriel, I think it sounds wet, but the others are all nice. Elliot is my favourite, then Roman.

I prefer Lorcan to Lucan, possibly because Lucan has associations of Lord Lucan. I like the others.

Love Hugo, DH has vetoed it or I would use it in a heartbeat.

Would like to use Gabriel, but I think it's quite a feminine name.

I love Elliot and it is by far the best of your list! I don't like Lucan at all. The rest are all ok, quite nice.

Fave is Roman. Dislike Elliot.

I like Elliot and Hugo (not sure if I prefer Elliott though?), not hugely keen on Gabriel (amount of 'LOL let's call him Gay Gabe' I heard when I was younger...), Lucan I do not like - I think Lucifer? What about Lucas or Luca - even Lucien? Roman I wouldn't dream of as I come from a Roman village and it would be quite the joke around here if I decided to call my son Roman but if you're from a quaint Tudor village or from central London I'd be impartial to it.

Elliot is my favourite - stick to the one 't' version. Like Saharap the others are a way behind for me but second choice would be Gabriel; Roman is OK.
